Liturgical Choir

The choir is an established group of 20-30 singers who join their voices as one to support the worship life of the St. Linus community. The choir typically prepares two anthems or selections for each Mass, and often sings the verses of the psalm. A wide range of repertoire is explored, ranging from Latin classics to Christian contemporary arrangements, gospel, and spirituals. The choir sings a balance of old favorites from our substantial choir library along with recently published music.

The Liturgical Choir normally shares their gift of song at the Sunday 9 AM Mass from mid-September through Pentecost, though we sometimes rotate to other Mass times. Additional Masses and events that the choir participates in include:

• Mass of Remembrance
• Advent Taize prayer service
• 10 PM Christmas Eve Mass
• Lenten Taize prayer service
• Holy Thursday
• Good Friday
• Easter Vigil
• First Communion
• Confirmation
• Singspiration

Confirmed Catholics who are looking for a way to serve the parish are welcome to join the St. Linus Liturgical Choir. Membership for the entire choir year is preferred, but seasonal participation is also encouraged for those with scheduling constraints. Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00 PM in the church.
